GR/GR deletions within the azoospermia factor c region on the Y chromosome might not be associated with spermatogenic failure.Ravel C, Chantot-Bastaraud S, El Houate B, Mandelbaum J, Siffroi JP, McElreavey K Reproduction, Fertility and Populations, Department of Developmental Biology, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France. No statistically significant difference in deletion frequency was found between infertile patients and a control group. It is suggested that in some populations the gr/gr deletion might be an inconsequential polymorphism. Published 17 January 2006 in Fertil Steril, 85(1): 229-31.
